ph 2-2 table question mark in brass, white opal glass, e27
size: w20 x h41 x l27.5cm
designer: Poul henningsen Denmark
the limited-edition is made of brass and mouth-blown opal glass shades that add uniqueness and beauty to any room. a timeless, yet playful and figurative design that is unquestionably a ph lamp.
based on his classic three-shade glare-free downward lighting system from 1926, poul henningsen created the first ph 2/2 question mark light in 1931. because of the expressive curve of the lamp stem, it was given the moniker ‘question mark.’
the gently brushed brass frame, like in the original lamp from 1931, has been kept untreated, enabling it to develop a wonderful patina over time, enhancing the table lamp’s true look and feel. a go-through switch, also made of brushed brass, is situated towards the base of the stem, along with a brown cloth cord that matches the distinctive design. above the string, ph’s initials are elegantly and subtly carved.
